Ravindra Jadeja is currently the No.1 Test all-rounder in the ICC Test rankings but he suffered a hamstring injury during the first Test against England in Hyderabad as a result, he missed the second Test and has been ruled out of action for a good amount of time.
He shared a pic of himself where he could be seen nursing his injury at the NCA in Bengaluru. The chances of his return during the IPL 2024 are looking meek and it is being speculated that he might also miss the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
Ravindra Jadeja suffered a hamstring injury during the fourth day’s play of the first Test in Hyderabad. India lost the Test by 28 runs and also lost Jadeja for the rest of the series.
However, the hosts made a brilliant comeback in the second Test as they defeated England by 106 runs. Jasprit Bumrah was elected as the Player of The Match for his brilliant match figures of 9/91 and India didn’t miss the services of Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul.
KL Rahul was also ruled out of the second Test after he complained of a pain in his right quadriceps. However, KL Rahul’s injury was not serious and he is expected to return for the third Test of the series.
The date of Jadeja’s return to cricket cannot be predicted yet and it will depend on how well he recovers from it. Returning to the field without proper rehab can lead to further damage and can be a threat to his career.
Ravindra Jadeja shared a post on his Instagram account where he could be seen nursing his injury at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. He captioned the Post “Getting better🤞”. Fans around the country and beyond are wishing him a speedy recovery and they hope that he gets well soon and take the field.
