Fans on Twitter reacted after India captain Rohit Sharma missed his well-deserved century in the ongoing game against Australia in the T20 World Cup 2024. The match between the two teams is underway at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet, St Lucia.
India captain Rohit Sharma came up with his best performance in the ongoing T20 World Cup in the game against Australia. The opening batter looked in sensational touch right from ball 1 and made sure that he put the opposition at the backfoot from the start itself.
Rohit Sharma came out all guns blazing and went after the bowlers right from the start. After India lost Virat Kohli for a duck, it seemed that the captain would take some to get the innings back on track. But it wasn't the case as he activated his ultra-aggressive mode and went berserk.
Rohit Sharma got into the groove in the third over when he hit Mitchell Starc for 29 runs in one over. The captain then didn't look back as he made Australian bowlers look clueless and slammed them all over the park at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet, St Lucia.
Rohit Sharma brought up his half-century in just 19 balls. This was also the fastest half-century by the batter in the ongoing T20 World Cup. With the way he was batting, Australian bowlers had no answers to the carnage by him as he seemed all set for a big ton in the game.
However, it was an unfortunate end to his innings as Rohit Sharma was removed by Mitchell Starc for 92 runs. The batter took just 41 balls to get those runs. He batted with a strike rate of over 224 and hit 7 fours and 8 sixes in his innings at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet, St Lucia.
