Former Australia National Cricket Team opener Usman Khawaja trolls the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) director of high performance, Aaqib Javed, after the mass sacking in Pakistan National Cricket Team's Test set-up. Soon after the Lord's Test match defeat, the board axed seven players from its Test team and named seven replacements as well.
After announcing the list of excluded and included players in the team, criticizing the team's performance against England, Aaqib Javed said that because of the team's drastic downfall, everyone is laughing at them. Out of nowhere, Usman Khawaja commented that Javed's comments have become a laughing matter more than Pakistan National Cricket Team's performance in England.
Pakistan Cricket Board makes massive changes in the Test team
The batters of the Pakistan cricket team, including their skipper Babar Azam and the rest of the batting unit, performed extremely poorly against the England National Cricket Team's pace attack. In four innings, two in the Leeds Test and the two in the following match at Lord's, the Men in Green failed to secure at least 200 runs on the scoreboard in an innings.
Ahead of the remaining match of the series and after the Lord's Test, PCB, in a massive move,e excluded seven players from the Test team. Mohammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq, Salman Ali Agha, Ali Usman, Aamir Jamal, Muhammad Awais Zafar and Khurram Shahzad are the seven players who are removed from the Test team.
World is laughing at us: Aaqib Javed on Pakistan's recent performance in England
In their place, the cricket board has named five uncapped players and two players with prior experience in playing for the national side as the replacements.
Speaking on Geo TV, Aaqib Javed claimed that watching the struggles of the Pakistan cricket team against the England cricket team, the world is laughing at them,
"When management fails to make tough calls, action has to be taken. We have already lost the series, and the world is laughing at us because we aren't even competing," Javed said.
Usman Khawaja takes a banter against Aaqib Javed
Hours after Javed's comment, Usman Khawaja took a dig at him by saying Javed's comments were funnier than the team's performance during the last two matches against England.
"The World is laughing harder now," the former Australian batter, who is originally from Islamabad, Pakistan, commented on a social media post.

It is not the first time that Usman Khawaja has gone verbally against the Pakistan cricket team and the Pakistan Cricket Board. After the 2026 T20 World Cup, reports widely claimed that PCB was set to impose penalties on their players who performed poorly in the tournament.
PCB assumed that by imposing fines, the players would perform better from the next time. Usman Khawaja said that the decision made no sense to him, and he could offer only sympathy for the Pakistan cricket team players.
"How can it be said that after imposing fines they will perform better next time? I have sympathy for the poor players of the Pakistan team," the former batter said in the past.
