Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) left-arm fast bowler Yash Dayal has opened up after being accused of sexual exploitation by a woman from Ghaziabad. In response, Dayal stated that he met the woman through Instagram in 2021 and has now filed a formal complaint with the Prayagraj police.
Dayal has been booked under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) following serious allegations that include sexual exploitation, physical assault, mental harassment, and cheating through false promises of marriage. The section could lead to a maximum punishment of up to 10 years in prison.
Authorities began action after the woman submitted a complaint to UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath via the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) on June 21. The woman alleged that she had been in a five-year relationship with the cricketer and was physically exploited during that time.
