Yash Dhull reveals special dressing room moment with MS Dhoni

Yash Dhull, the Indian youngster who once was part of India's U19 winning squad, revealed his thrilling experience meeting MS Dhoni, the former Indian captain and the legendary wicket-keeper from CSK.

MS Dhoni is often called one of the most legendary figures world cricket has ever witnessed. The wicket-keeper batter from Jharkhand went on to inspire several generations of cricketers, including modern-day Indian cricketers like Ishan Kishan.

While all look keenly at the Chennai Super Kings dugout for the return of the legendary skipper, Yash Dhull, the Indian star reveals the experience from his first meeting with the CSK veteran, and that too at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Yash Dhull reveals first meeting with MS Dhoni

In recent times, MS Dhoni's status as a legendary cricketer has further grown among the next generation of youngsters. The future stars of the Indian team have been thrilled to meet the legendary captain, and one such incident occurred with Yash Dhull.

He revealed that, he met MS Dhoni for the first time during a match at Chepauk, and he had called them inside the dressing room, where they clicked pictures and claimed that it was a great motivation for him when Dhoni revealed that the legend knew him by his name.

Who is Yash Dhull? The World Cup-winning captain of India

Yash Dhull is a 23-year-old young cricketer who comes from the state of Delhi and stars for it in domestic cricket. He made his domestic debut in first-class cricket for Delhi in the 2021-22 Ranji Trophy margin.

Having scored two centuries in his maiden season, he was named the captain of the ICC Men's Under-19 cricket team. He had also captained the Indian youth team to a title in the ACC Men's U19 Asia Cup in 2021.

The captain then played a stunning hand with the bat and went on to lead the Indian side to a win in the ICC Men's U19 World Cup in 2022. He then went on to make his List A debut for Delhi in 2022 and has represented India A on several occasions as well.

Did Yash Dayal make his debut in the IPL?

Yash Dayal has played for the India A team in the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup and also scored a century in that league. He then made his IPL debut for the Delhi Capitals in 2023, where he played a number of matches.

Dhull played his only four matches in the IPL back in 2023 and could score just 16 runs, with the highest score of 13. However, it was during this stint that he met the great MS Dhoni. In his career, he has amassed 2777 runs in red-ball cricket domestically, while he has also amassed 611 runs in List A cricket and 1087 runs in the shortest format of the game.
