Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, who struggled early against the English pacers at Manchester, has accused English seamers of tampering with the ball.

India arrived in Manchester trailing 2-1 in the series and under a do-or-die situation at Old Trafford, a ground that has been a nightmare for the Indian batters. They have never won a single Test match at his venue, and it has also been over 35 years since an Indian batter scored a hundred at this venue.

The pitch, however, looked very flat this time around, as England skipper Ben Stokes once again opted to bowl after winning the toss. Indian openers KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal took guard of the wickets against the English attack.

Though struggling at times, Yashasvi Jaiswal was a great support for KL Rahul, who looked very fluent with his batting till lunch was called. The two posed a 94-run opening stand for India.

After KL Rahul was dismissed off Chris Woakes in the second session for an individual score of 46, Sai Sudharsan came in to bat alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal. Jaiswal too adopted a much more defensive role, as he didn't quite unleash his wide array of shots since Rahul's dismissal.

However, the young batter looked confused on witnessing the late swing from the English bowlers. Watching Brydon Carse's delivery swirling outside the off-stump and angling away further, he looked at his partner on the other end and signaled the abrupt swing with the gesture of his hand.

Though with a quirky smile on his face, Jaiswal next commented, "Aisa lag raha hai bana rahe hain ball bhai; Achanak kaise swing hone lag gaya, kya laga rahe ball pe ye?" This roughly translates to, "It seems they are making the ball. How come the ball is swinging all of a sudden? What are they tampering with the ball?"

Though no such claims or statements have been issued officially, these are purely the field emotions vented out by the young Indian batter.

Yashasvi Jaiswal's unique records against England

Yashasvi Jaiswal scored his second fifty in this series against England, after he had already scored a hundred in the first innings of the first Test at Leeds. He has an extraordinary record against England with the bat.

Jaiswal showed England what he is capable of in the previous England tour of India, where the young batter scored his maiden Test double-hundred as well. However, this time in England, despite some inconsistency, Jaiswal becomes the second fastest Indian to score 1000 runs against England in Tests.

He has another exceptional record for having scored all these runs against England with an average over 70, enrolling himself alongside the Australian legend Don Bradman and West Indies great George Headley. He now also has 8 50+ scores, which is the same as Rohit Sharma's record against England, only behind the likes of the great Sunil Gavaskar.

Sai Sudharsan overtakes Karun Nair on Manchester return

India has picked their new no. 3, Sai Sudharsan has been renamed in the Indian playing 11 after having dropped Karun Nair. The 33-year-old who played two games for India at no. 3 could not make an impact in international cricket.

He has 131 runs in 6 innings in the series, while Sai Sudharsan, who made his Test debut at Leeds, scored 0 and 30 in the first game. This time around, Sudharsan has grabbed his second chance with a well-made 61 runs in Manchester, which surpassed Nair's highest score of 40 in the series.

Till now, he is the highest run-getter for India in the innings and was part of crucial partnerships alongside Jaiswal, skipper Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja before he was dismissed off a bumper from the England skipper.
