Ace batter Yashasvi Jaiswal has sparked speculation about his future with the Rajasthan Royals (RR) following the conclusion of the team's campaign in the ongoing IPL 2025 season. The young opener shared a cryptic message on his Instagram account, stating, "Grateful For Our Journey Together."
The Sanju Samson-led team ended their IPL 2025 campaign with a win over Chennai Super Kings (CSK). They secured a six-wicket victory with 17 balls remaining at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Yashasvi Jaiswal, who has been with the franchise since 2020, is the Jaipur team's top run-scorer this season.

Yashasvi sparked speculation about his future with Rajasthan Royals. After their final match, he shared a message on Instagram, which has fueled rumors that he might be parting ways with the team.

Yashasvi Jaiswal Unhappy Over Rajasthan Royals’ Captaincy Change
There has been much speculation on social media about Jaiswal’s unhappiness when Rajasthan Royals appointed Riyan Parag as captain in Sanju Samson’s absence early in the tournament.
Fans expressed their disappointment online, with many feeling Jaiswal was “robbed” of the role despite his consistent performances for the team. However, it is important to note that Jaiswal has no prior experience leading at the domestic level or for India’s Under-19 team.
Jaiswal had initially planned to switch his domestic cricket allegiance from Mumbai to Goa to take on a leadership role but later changed his mind and decided to remain with Mumbai.

Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 559 runs in 14 matches at an average of 43.00 and an impressive strike rate of 159.71, including six half-centuries throughout the IPL 2025 campaign. Jaiswal scored 36 runs off just 19 balls, including five fours and two sixes, in the final match against Chennai Super Kings.
Jaiswal was bought by Rajasthan Royals for 2.4 crore after his impressive performances in the 2020 U19 World Cup. The southpaw recorded scores of 48, 249, and 258 runs in the 2020, 2021, and 2022 seasons respectively. However, the Royals remained patient and continued to support him.
Jaiswal’s breakthrough came in 2023, when he scored 625 runs in 14 innings at a strike rate of 163.61. He earned a spot in the Indian national team. The batter continued this form in IPL 2024, scoring 435 runs in 15 innings with a strike rate of 155.91.
