"You End Up Calling Him Sir" - Utkarsha Pawar Shares Her Experience Of Meeting MS Dhoni

Ruturaj Gaikwad’s wife Utkarsha Pawar shared her experience of meeting Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. She said that no matter how much one tries he can never call him bhaiya or anything as they will always end up calling him Sir.

MS Dhoni is rated amongst the greatest players that have played the game of cricket. He has been the role model for many young cricketers from India as well as from players outside the country. The way he has performed for India he has taken the world cricket by storm with his heroics.

MS Dhoni is unarguably a crowd puller in the cricketing world as he on account of his contribution to the Indian team and Chennai Super Kings has made himself a huge name. Treated as an icon, the keeper batter is the chief architect behind the Indian team reaching great heights.

The people in India are absolutely crazy about him and when they see him they go berserk. This was evident in the IPL 2023 when he came out to bat. Not only fans but cricketers too go crazy about him.

Utkarsha Pawar, who shared CSK’s dressing room with MS Dhoni, spoke about the aura created by the keeper batter and revealed that the team’s captain tries to keep the atmosphere light. Speaking on the ‘Coffee, Cricket Aani Barach Kaahi’ YouTube channel, she said:

“MS Dhoni’s aura is something different. You cannot call him bhaiyya or anything. When you are meeting him, you end up calling him sir. But he is so humble and down to earth, it’s unbelievable. His sense of humour is amazing, so he tries his best to keep the atmosphere light.”

He treats everyone like family – Utkarsha Pawar on MS Dhoni

Utkarsha Pawar further went on to say that MS Dhoni treats everyone like family. She explained:

“I had met him on and off but I got an opportunity to meet him properly after the final. He treats everyone like family. Even I felt like a family. Whether it was him (Ruturaj) or me, we were on the road for two months and he made us feel at home.”

MS Dhoni guided Chennai Super Kings to the title victory in IPL 2023. He’s likely to be part of the league next year.
