A fun road trip turned into a heartbreaking tragedy after a terrible accident on the Agra-Mumbai National Highway in Madhya Pradesh's Barwani district claimed the lives of a young cricketer from Maharashtra, India, and a businessman on Monday (June 2).
Aniket Kale and Badrinath Nangre were traveling with their two friends when their SUV met with a horrific crash near Jamli village of Barwani district in Madhya Pradesh.

As reported by Times of India, Aniket Kale and his friend Badrinath Nangre have lost their lives in the deadly road accident. The 28-year-old Kale was a well-known club cricketer from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra. He had built a good reputation in local cricket in Maharashtra.

On the other hand, the 30-year-old Badrinath Nangre was a successful restaurant and bar owner in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad). The police stated that the four friends were on a long road trip to Leh-Ladakh. On their way to Leh-Ladakh, they had visited several religious places across Madhya Pradesh and other parts of the country.
Two friends left injured as Police launch investigation
However, their journey came to a tragic end when the SUV reportedly went out of control on the highway. Police believe the driver may have dozed off while driving. The vehicle crossed the divider, entered the opposite lane, overturned several times, and then crashed into a truck coming from the other direction.
The impact of the accident was severe. Aniket and Badrinath died in the crash, while the other two suffered injuries. They were identified as 25-year-old Bhushan from Pune and 26-year-old Omkar from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
They were immediately taken to a private hospital in Sendhwa, and both are currently stable and recovering. Police have informed the families, and the further investigation into the accident is ongoing.

Meanwhile, India's attention has now shifted to a packed international calendar after two months of thrilling IPL 2026 action, where the Royal Challengers Bengaluru successfully defended their title by beating the Gujarat Titans in the final in Ahmedabad on May 31.

The busy schedule continues with a short T20I tour of Zimbabwe and a two-match Test series in Sri Lanka later in the year. India will then host West Indies for a limited-overs series before traveling to New Zealand for a multi-format tour. The year will end with Sri Lanka's tour of India in December.
With matches across all formats and several overseas tours lined up, Indian fans are all set for the non-stop action throughout the remainder of 2026.
