The 15-member Indian side still has a few players who are yet to get a chance in the series. Tushar Deshpande who was in the original squad is yet to get a game in the series. Harshit Rana too is yet to get his chance.

Riyan Parag who made his T20I debut in the first game for India scored just two in his debut game and did not get a chance to bat in the second T20I.

On Saturday, they have the opportunity to seal a series win with another win. There are opportunities for a few players to get their maiden T20I cap for India. The players are selected based on their IPL 2024 performance and for a few the results have shown.

For Shubman Gill, the young captain, this is a very important game given that the stakes are high. The team lost the first T20I under him and since then they have made huge progress in the next two games. The real quality and potential of the players have come to the fore.

India failed to chase 116 in the first T20I and Gill sounded very sad and dejected as captain in his post-match presentation speech.

"We bowled pretty well, we let ourselves down in the field. We were not up to standard and everyone looked a bit rusty. We spoke about taking time and enjoying our batting but it didn't pan out that way. Halfway through we had lost 5 wickets, would've been best for us if I stayed there till the end, very disappointed with the way I got out and the rest of the match panned out. There was a bit of hope for us but when you're chasing 115 and your no.10 batter is out there, you know something is wrong" said Gill.

However, since that loss, India have posted 234 and 182 with the bat in the next two games. The young side won the second T20I by 100 runs and the third by 23 runs. The pitch conditions changed and the batters found runs. The bowlers then backed up the batters and they delivered.

Zimbabwe, too have a chance to level up the series on Saturday and take it to the decider on Sunday. For that to happen, the senior players and especially their skipper Sikandar Raza need to have a good game with both bat and ball.
