"You're trying to create controversy"- Virender Sehwag to Rohit Sharma on Inzamam-ul-Haq's allegations

Former India opener Virender Sehwag criticized the media for asking a question to Rohit Sharma about Inzamam-ul-Haq ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024 semi-final match against England. Virender Sehwag said that reporters should ask their questions instead of quoting others to create controversy.
Inzamam-ul-Haq made a controversial statement alleging ball tampering by Indian bowlers after India defeated Australia in the Super 8 stage. He pointed out Arshdeep Singh's ability to generate reverse swing as early as the 15th over. Inzamam targeted the bowling tactics employed by the Indian cricket team.
Rohit Sharma strongly refuted accusations of ball tampering by Indian bowlers. The Indian skipper said that the reverse swing is due to the hot conditions and dry pitch typical in cricket matches. Rohit emphasized that such phenomena occur naturally under these conditions, adding that all teams use reverse swing.
"You are playing in the heat, the wicket is dry, and the ball reverses automatically. It happens for all the teams. It's important to open your mind," said a disappointed Rohit, in response to the allegation by Inzamam.
I've Problem With One Thing - Virender Sehwag
Speaking on Cricbuzz, Virender Sehwag stated that a media representative attempted to create controversy by quoting Inzamam-ul-Haq during a press conference. The former Indian vice-captain mentioned that he would have chosen not to respond at all if he were in that situation.
“I have a problem with one thing. Someone has given a statement, even if I say something… It is not the job of a reporter to quote someone and ask others for their opinion. This is wrong. You don't have a question of your own? You want an answer to someone else's statement. You're trying to create controversy. If I were there, I wouldn't have replied at all,” the 2011 World Cup winner said while speaking on Cricbuzz.
