India legend Yuvraj Singh has been receiving praise from all over due to Abhishek Sharma's stunning batting displays in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025.
Before being selected in the Indian team and turning things around in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Abhishek worked with Yuvraj, and it played a crucial role in his development as a batsman. Abhishek is currently the number one T20 batsman in the world, and his stock is only rising with each passing day.
Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill are Yuvraj's prodigies
In the ongoing Asia Cup, Abhishek has been India's shining star. While no other batsman has managed to score more than 160 runs, he has already scored 248 runs in 5 innings, including two fifties. He has scored his runs at a stunning strike-rate of 206.67 while averaging almost 50.
Apart from Abhishek, India's Test captain Shubman Gill was also tutored by Yuvraj Singh during his early days in international cricket.

Prabhsimran Singh, Priyansh Arya joins forced with Yuvraj
After Abhishek and Gill, two more young batsmen - Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya - have approached Yuvraj Singh to develop their game. Both the batsmen played for Punjab Kings in this year's IPL and impressed.
Playing in the IPL for the first time, Arya hit the ground running. He scored 475 runs with the help of a century and two fifties and played a key role in Punjab Kings' runners-up finish.
Arya grabbed the headlines for the first time last year when he hit six sixes in an over in the Delhi Premier League. On the other hand, Prabhsimran scored 549 runs and was the second-highest run-scorer for his side.
Yuvraj has taken both the highly-rated batsmen under his wing and would be looking to develop them into world-class batsmen. Punjab Kings recently posted a photo of Yuvraj training both of their batters with the caption: "Learning from the OG"

Yuvraj Singh's illustrious career
Yuvraj Singh is widely regarded as one of India's greatest match winners. The southpaw was the backbone of India's batting department in both the limited-overs format. He represented India in 40 Tests, 304 ODIs, and 58 T20Is. An explosive middle-order batsman, Yuvraj was also a handy left-arm spinner and a world-class fielder.
He played a huge role in India's triumphant campaign during the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 World Cup. In the T20 World Cup, he famously hit Stuart Broad for six sixes while scoring a 12-ball fifty before smashing 70 runs off just 30 balls against Australia in the semifinal.
In the 2011 World Cup, Yuvraj was adjudged the Player of the Tournament for his stunning all-round display.
