Veteran spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at a base price of INR 2 crore.

Even though the leg-spinner is one of the most decorated bowlers in the history of the IPL, Rajasthan Royals decided against retaining him ahead of the mega auction.

No bowler has picked up more wickets in the IPL than Chahal. He has taken 205 wickets so far and is also the only bowler to reach the 200-wicket mark in the competition.

The 34-year-old is also the leading wicket-taker for Team India in the shortest format of the game.

Yuzvendra has represented three teams in the IPL so far. While his journey began with Mumbai Indians, he played only one game for them in 2013 before being signed up by Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2014.

From 2014 to 2021, he plied his trade for the Bengaluru-based outfit, taking a record 139 wickets from 113 games. In 2022, he joined Rajasthan Royals. In three seasons with the Royals, Chahal picked up 66 wickets.
