Indian cricket fans were treated to an unexpected dose of entertainment when Yuzvendra Chahal joined Ravi Bishnoi and Arshdeep Singh on a late-night Instagram live session. The Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was wrapped under a blanket as he turned the casual chat into a moment the internet couldn’t stop talking about.
As the trio laughed and teased each other during the entertaining Instagram live session, Chahal surprised everyone by joking that all he had left in life now was his blanket. The leg-spinner said, “In life, no wife… only blanket (only Razai no Lugai).”

After which, Chahal suggested to Arshdeep that he “should get married now.” This prompted his Punjab Kings (PBKS) teammate to ask if he wasn’t happy watching him enjoy life. Arshdeep told Chahal, “Oh, you don’t like seeing me happy and chilled, or what?”

Behind the laughter, Yuzvendra Chahal has been dealing with a difficult chapter in his personal life. His marriage to Dhanashree Verma ended in March 2025 after the couple had lived separately for over a year.
Yuzvendra Chahal pushes for India return after personal struggles
As part of the settlement finalised by the Bombay High Court, Chahal agreed to pay INR 4.75 crore, with their demanding careers and lack of time together reported as the main reasons behind the split. Despite the emotional turbulence, Chahal has continued to push for an India comeback.
The seasoned leg-spinner recently played for Haryana in the opening round of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025 against Puducherry. Chahal picked up 2 for 46 in his four overs, but his Haryana team fell short by five runs while chasing 202, thanks to Puducherry star Akash Pugazhendi’s 60 off 35 balls.

Chahal, who has 217 international wickets to his name, has been away from the India cricket team for over two years. But the hunger in him remains strong. He continues to fight for one final shot at wearing the Indian jersey again. He is currently part of the PBKS team in the IPL.
On the other hand, Ravi Bishnoi has been released by the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) ahead of the IPL 2026 auction after an ordinary performance with the ball.
Arshdeep Singh gears up for South Africa ODIs
Meanwhile, Arshdeep Singh is currently gearing up for the upcoming three-match ODI series against South Africa, starting on November 30.
Notably, Arshdeep has played only 11 ODIs, mostly on second-string tours led by Shikhar Dhawan in 2022 and KL Rahul in 2023, and has 39 List A matches overall. Despite limited chances, India knows its talent cannot be ignored in ODIs.
With the ICC World Cup 2027 set to be held in pace-friendly conditions, a left-arm pacer who can swing the white ball like Arshdeep will be a crucial weapon for the team. Keeping that in mind, Arshdeep has been recalled to the ODI side for the Proteas side.
