Yuzvendra Chahal shared a hilarious tweet to troll Punjab Kings skipper KL Rahul and batsman Chris Gayle over their new jersey. Yuvzendra Chahal, who is part of Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2021, took a funny jibe at Punjab Kings’ new jersey for its resemblance to RCB’s old jersey. Punjab Kings’ new jersey became a new meme topic among cricket fans who hilariously pointed out that KL Rahul led-side copied their new jersey’s design from RCB old’s one.

Punjab Kings changed their name for IPL 2021 from the earlier title of Kings XI Punjab. They also changed their jersey. While it still has red as the primary colour, it has golden stripes at the bottom-left and right sides. Punjab Kings also chose to wore golden helmets in IPL 2021.

Fans pointed that their new jersey looks like one RCB wore in the initial editions of the Indian Premier League. Punjab Kings played their first match of IPL 2021 on Monday (April 12) against Rajasthan Royals.

Yuzvendra Chahal shared a short clip of KL Rahul and Chris Gayle from yesterday’s match on Twitter and wrote, “Welcome to RCB Boys”. Notably, KL Rahul and Chris Gayle have also played for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the past. Have a look at Yuzvendra Chahal’s tweet below.

Twitterati also trolled Punjab Kings over the jersey. Some said that Punjab Kings not only got their players from Royal Challengers Bangalore but also their jersey. Punjab Kings’ new jersey has become the centre of attraction for trollers on social media.

Earlier, Punjab Kings skipper KL Rahul had said that he hopes the new jersey and new name will bring good fortunes for his team in IPL 2021.

Meanwhile, Punjab Kings won their first match against Rajasthan Royals in a thrilling encounter. With KL Rahul’s 91-run knock, Punjab Kings posted 221-6 batting first. In response, Rajasthan Royals’ Sanju Samson played a brilliant knock of 119 runs to take his team closer to victory.

However, Punjab Kings’ bowler Arshdeep Singh managed to pull off the victory while defending 13 runs off the final over. With 5 runs needed on the final ball, Arshdeep Singh dismissed Samson with a catch by Deepak Hooda at extra cover. Punjab Kings won the match by just 4 runs in the end.
