Yuzvendra Chahal having decent IPL 2025

Chahal was bought by the Punjab Kings for a whopping INR 18 crore, making him the most expensive spinner in the history of the Indian Premier League auction, and so far, he has had a decent run in the ongoing season.

Yuzvendra Chahal has chipped in with crucial wickets for his team whenever he has the opportunity to bowl. Shreyas Iyer has several times shown less trust in the 34-year-old leg-spinner, but Yuzvendra Chahal has made sure to deliver whenever he gets to bowl.

The best of Yuzvendra Chahal was seen in the match against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), where he bagged his second Indian Premier League hat-trick in a stunning 4-wicket over.

Overall, he has played 12 matches in the Indian Premier League 2025 and has picked up 14 wickets at an average of 25.28, an economy of 9.59, and a strike rate of 15.8.

However, the senior leg-spinner was dropped from the playing XI for the match against the Delhi Capitals, and he was not named in the impact players list as well. This left the fans worried, and they speculated whether the spinner was injured.

Here's how fans reacted to Yuzvendra Chahal being dropped:

But personally, I am not satisfied and not content - Shreyas Iyer

Speaking at the toss, the Punjab Kings skipper Shreyas Iyer said that everyone in the camp is happy after making it to the playoffs. However, he was quick to add that they still have a long way to go to clinch the trophy and said that he is not satisfied. He elaborated:

"It is definitely happy faces around. Everyone from team management and the owners are happy with the Q coming in for us. But personally, I am not satisfied and not content. We want to build a momentum from hereon. Each and every individual stepping up from here will give us a major boost.

"Job half done as of now. It is important that we stay in the present we see to it that we cease every chance we get and seize the moment. Yes, two changes for us. Inglis and Stoinis come back for us."
