Zimbabwe and Afghanistan will be eyeing a series win when they take on each other in the second and final Test of the ongoing ZIM vs AFG series. The ZIM vs AFG game will be played from Thursday (January 2) at the Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo.
Zimbabwe vs Afghanistan first Test ended in a draw as batsmen from both the teams fully enjoyed their outing. As many as six players scored century in the game with two of them going on to convert it into a double century.
Batting first, Zimbabwe scored 586 runs. Sean Williams top-scored for his side, scoring 154 while captain Craig Ervine scored 104 and Brian Bennett remained unbeaten on 110. Debutant Ben Curran scored a half-century as well.
Zimbabwe's advantage, however, did not last long as Afghanistan also came up with a stellar batting display. Riding on double-centuries from Hashmatullah Shahid and Rahmat Shah, the visitors scored 699 runs. Wicketkeeper-batsman Afsar Zazai scored a century as well.

The weather forecast is not promising for the second Zimbabwe vs Afghanistan Test. The forecast has predicted thundershower for all the five days of the Test. There is a good chance of rain playing spoilsport on the very first day of the Test. The chances of rain on the opening day of the Test are more than 50-60 percent.
The situation is unlikely to change much for the next four days of the Test as well. The temperature will be hovering in the 20s for the most part of the game.

The first Test showed that the surface will give ample assistance to the batsmen. Even though the bowlers struggled to make a big impact in the game, the venue is known for offering good help to the bowlers as well.
