After rain denied them a good opportunity to take the lead in the series, Afghanistan will be looking to come up with a similarly strong performance in the second ODI as well when they lock horns against Zimbabwe. The second game is scheduled to take place on Thursday (December 19) at the Harare Sports Club, Harare.
No result was possible during the first ODI due to rain. Only 9.2 overs were bowled although it was enough for Afghanistan to show their dominance. In less than 10 overs, Afghanistan managed to dismiss five Zimbabwe batsmen. When rain finally stopped the game, Zimbabwe were reeling at 44/5.
With the game not restarting, Afghanistan lost a great opportunity to win the game and take a 1-0 lead in the series.
So, as both the teams gear up for the series opener, we are taking a look at the weather and pitch reports for the first ZIM vs AFG ODI.
