Zimbabwe's national cricket team will look to start the T2OI series in front of their home fans on Sunday as they welcome Pakistan in the first of three T20 internationals at Queens Sports Club following a crushing 2-1 defeat in the recently played ODI series.
This series appears in the shadow of a comprehensive 2-1 ODI series defeat, wherein the hosts were hardly able to get close to Pakistan's performance.
The squad retains its core from that tournament and will have new additions like Trevor Gwandu and Tinotenda Maposa.

Openers: Brian Bennett, Tadiwanashe Marumani
They are likely to open with Brian Bennett and Tadiwanashe Marumani as their openers in the 1st T20I against Pakistan in Bulawayo. Both the players showed terrific form in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 sub-regional qualifier in Kenya.
Bennett has shown promise with his aggressive stroke play at the top of the order which makes him a key prospect for setting the tone.
Marumani with his flair and experience in international T20s complements Bennett’s style.
Middle-order batsmen and allrounders: Dion Myers, Sikandar Raza (captain), Ryan Burl, Clive Madande (W), Wessly Madhevere
Their middle order for the 1st T20I against Pakistan will depend upon captain Sikandar Raza and also Ryan Burl, Clive Madande, and Wessly Madhevere.
Raza, their most experienced player has been in a stellar run of form in T2O and recently notched up 133 runs in 43 balls.
Ryan Burl is a dangerous hitter and is a valuable middle-order bat. The wicket-keeper batter, Clive Madande has been solid and has made a good impact even when the game was in a pressure situation. Handy all-rounder Wessly Madhevere adds Zimbabwean depth.
Bowlers: Tashinga Musekiwa, Blessing Muzarabani, Richard Ngarava, Brandon Mavuta
They will rely on a strong bowling unit of Blessing Muzarabani, Richard Ngarava, Brandon Mavuta, and Tashinga Musekiwa for the 1st T20I against Pakistan in Bulawayo.
Muzarabani will spearhead the host's bowling unit. His ability to extract bounce will be critical in exploiting early conditions.
Left-arm seamer Richard Ngarava adds variety with his swing and control, especially in the powerplay. Brandon Mavuta, the leg-spinner, brings a wicket-taking edge in the middle overs after having troubled top sides in previous outings.
