Zimbabwe squad for Afghanistan T20Is:
With the rainbow nation recently sealing a spot in next year's T20 World Cup, the selectors have opted for continuity in the squad. They have made just one change to the squad that went unbeaten during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier earlier this month.
The only new addition to the squad is veteran spinner Graeme Cremer. He has replaced fast-bowler Trevor Gwandu in the squad.
The former captain is gearing up to play an international match for the first time since 2018. Cremer had given up cricket for golf and had moved to the UAE, where his wife Merna works as an airline pilot.
Zimbabwe Cricket also confirmed that 'allrounder Sean Williams remains unavailable as he continues to attend to personal matters'. Veteran all-rounder Sikandar Raza will continue to lead the team.
Richard Ngarava and Blessing Muzarabani will be spearheading the fast-bowling attack for the home side, while former captain Brendan Taylor is set to be the wicketkeeper.
The likes of Brian Bennett, Tadiwanashe Marumani, Brad Evans, and Tashinga Musekiwa have also retained their spots after impressive displays in the qualifiers.
