Zimbabwe will return to the Men's Cricket World Cup with a Group Stage schedule that includes a historic fixture against India at Victoria Falls on October 24. Before that match, Zimbabwe will face Qualifier A, Afghanistan, Australia and Pakistan across Bulawayo and Harare.

The co-hosts are in Group A alongside India, Australia, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Qualifier A. Zimbabwe's campaign will also mark the return of the World Cup to the country after a 12-year absence, while the India match will be the first World Cup fixture at the new Mosi-oa-Tunya Stadium in Victoria Falls.

Zimbabwe’s World Cup 2027 Fixtures and Match Schedule

Zimbabwe begin against Qualifier A at Bulawayo on October 9. Two days later, they face Afghanistan at the same venue.

Their third fixture is against Australia in Harare on October 15, followed by Pakistan in Harare on October 19. Zimbabwe will complete their Group Stage campaign against India at Victoria Falls on October 24.

Zimbabwe’s Group Stage fixtures:

October 9: Zimbabwe vs Qualifier A, Bulawayo

October 11: Zimbabwe vs Afghanistan, Bulawayo

October 15: Zimbabwe vs Australia, Harare

October 19: Zimbabwe vs Pakistan, Harare

October 24: Zimbabwe vs India, Victoria Falls

The India fixture is the final Group Stage match of the entire tournament and will take place at one of the World Cup's newest venues.

Zimbabwe’s Key Matches and Opponents in the Home World Cup

Zimbabwe have a run of four Group Stage fixtures in their home country before the campaign reaches Victoria Falls. Their matches against Australia and Pakistan in Harare will come in the second half of the Group Stage.

The India game is the standout fixture on the schedule because it takes the World Cup to the Mosi-oa-Tunya Stadium. ICC has described it as the first World Cup match at the new Victoria Falls ground.

Zimbabwe's Group A opponents include three teams that have already been assigned Super 7 positions: India, Australia and Pakistan.

Zimbabwe’s Route Through the Group Stage and Knockout Stages

Zimbabwe have not been given a fixed Super 7 seed. The ICC's current pre-seeded positions are A1 India, A2 Australia, A3 Pakistan, AB4 England, B1 New Zealand, B2 South Africa and B3 Sri Lanka.

If Zimbabwe qualify for the Super 7 while displacing one of those teams, they will inherit that team's position and therefore its scheduled fixtures. For example, taking the A1 position would give Zimbabwe India's current Super 7 pathway, while taking A2 would mean following Australia's schedule.

Super 7 runs from October 25 to November 14, with six matches for each participating team and no points carried over from the Group Stage. The top four qualify for the semi-finals on November 17 and 18. The World Cup final is scheduled for November 21 at the Wanderers in Johannesburg.
