Team India registered yet another series victory in the white ball format after a convincing victory over England by 7 wickets in the 3rd and the deciding T20I in Bristol. The victory was built around a stupendous knock from Rohit Sharma. He hadn’t scored too many runs coming into the match. However, Rohit is a big match player and he proved his credentials yet again on the big the day. He remained unbeaten on 100 of 56 deliveries as India chased the target of 199 with utmost ease n the end.

India went with three changes in the encounter. Star from the first match, Kuldeep Yadav was dropped. Even Bhuvneshwar Kumar faced the axe in order to accommodate two debutants in the form of Deepak Chahar and Siddharth Kaul. Given Kuldeep’s heroics in the opening clash, it was baffling to see him get left out. It is the not the first time that Kuldeep has been dropped despite his wicket-taking abilities.

Kuldeep Yadav

The left-arm chinaman bowler might be the 1st on this list. Despite his exceptional wicket taking prowess, he has bee dropped time and again. Given the fact that he is a wrist spinner, he tends to flight the ball like a traditional wrist spinner. Hence on occasions, he goes for runs. He was quite brilliant in the ODI series in South Africa.

He bamboozled all the English batters during the 1st match and became the first left-arm wrist spinner to bag a 5 wicket haul in international cricket in England. Kuldeep went for a few runs in the 2nd clash. He was not included for the decider in a small ground in Bristol.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar

He is undoubtedly one of the best-limited overs bowlers in the world at the moment. Along with Bumrah, he has forged a formidable partnership in the bowling department. He has bowled quite well but he wasn’t quite at his best in the first two matches. He conceded 45 runs in the opening clash. Bhuvi started off quite impressively in the 2nd clash.

He was asked to defend 12 runs but he was smashed for a four and six as England sealed the match with a couple of deliveries to spare. Despite his unimpressive performance, he is a world-class bowler and should have been a part of the decider. However to accommodate Siddharth Kaul and Deepak Chahar.

Dinesh Karthik

The right-handed batsman played one of the greats T20I knocks just a few months earlier. He smashed an unbeaten 28 of 9 deliveries in the final of the Nidahas Trophy which helped India clinch the match from jaws of defeat. It was stunning hitting and the Bangladesh bowlers were literally shell shocked with the onslaught from Karthik.

Despite his impressive showing for the KKR in the IPL. Karthik wasn’t part of the playing XI in any of the three T20I matches. Kohli has hinted at experimenting with the squad. However, it looks strange that why Karthik didn’t get a chance in the team.
