Jaydev Unadkat has been the highest-paid Indian cricketer in the last two season of the Indian Premier League. But the left-arm pacer has failed to justify his price tag in both the editions.

The fast bowler had poor returns which forced the management to drop him from the playing XI. As a result, Rajasthan Royals will not be keen to spend so much money for the next tournament. The franchise, in all likelihood, will leave the left-arm pacer ahead of the auctions.

Rahul Tripathi grabbed eyeballs with his blistering hitting for Rising Pune Supergiant in 2017. This earned him a contract with the Rajasthan Royas in the 2018 edition of the Indian Premier League. But he has failed to live upto the expectations.

Tripathi has amassed 367 runs in 20 matches he has played from the Royals over the last two years. He had a horrific time in the last season and his strike rate also gone down only to lose his place in the playing XI.

And now with youngsters like Riyan Parag sealing opportunities, the franchise is likely to go for Tripathi and retain him for the next season.

Rajasthan Royals have struggled mainly due to their weak links in their bowling unit. The international stars like Ish Sodhi have failed to live upto the expectations which halted their good run in the last Indian Premier League season.

Although Sodhi was among the wickets claiming four from two games but was expensive. He gave away runs almost at an economy rate of 10. Rajasthan, who have new team management will be desperate to fill the positions ahead of the next season.

Thus, it is likely that the Steve Smith-led side will not retain the ace New Zealand star for the upcoming edition.
