One of the loopholes of Delhi Capitals in IPL 2019 was their poor middle-order batting. Apart from Rishabh Pant, none of the batsmen showed resistance in the middle-order, which saw them losing a few encounters during the crunch situations of the tournament.

The New Zealand all-rounder is a force to reckon in this format for New Zealand Cricket Team. Surprisingly, he couldn’t repeat the same in IPL 2019 for Royal Challengers Bangalore. But, he would be the perfect suit for Delhi Capitals, who are always in need of a good finisher.

His skills with the bat down the order would allow Delhi Capitals’ top-order to go hard against the bowlers. Presence of Colin de Grandhomme will also give Delhi an extra option while rotating the bowlers.

2. Barinder Sran:

Yet another drawback for Delhi Capitals in the previous season was the lack of Indian fast bowler in the lineup. Though they have Avesh Khan and Harshal Patel, they failed to match up with Kagiso Rabada, who was a wrecker-in-chief for the team.

Despite not producing stunning numbers, Sran was quietly effective, mostly picking vital wickets. With Kagiso Rabada, Pat Cummins and the spinners going for the wickets, the addition of Barinder Sran will do a world of good for the team.

Besides that, his left-handed bowling will bring variety to the bowling department as well. So far, in his 24-match IPL career, Barinder Sran picked 18 wickets with the best figures of 3/18.

It was rather surprising to see him in the released players’ list of Royal Challengers Bangalore. The flamboyant batsman can take the game away from the opposition on his day with his blistering batting skills.

In 5 matches he played for RCB, Shimron Hetmyer scored 90 runs, in which, 75 runs came from one innings. With Colin Ingram and Colin Munro making a way for the overseas batsman, Delhi Capitals can go for the West Indian, who can be the perfect suit for Delhi Capitals in the lineup

Though his form in the recent past isn’t that great, Shimron Hetmyer can switch on at any point of time to make things fall in place. His ability to clear the ropes with ease and the fact that he also hails from the Caribbean has given him an uncanny resemblance to the legendary Chris Gayle.
