The right-handed classy batsman is often compared to the great of the game Sachin Tendulkar, who achieved fine records for the Indian National Cricket Team. 3. Three Consecutive centuries in ODI:

Sachin Tendulkar has almost bagged every record for India in his career. He even sat at the top of the few world records as well. Meanwhile, he failed to get few records, which the Indian Skipper Virat Kohli hasn’t missed out.

The right-handed batsman Virat Kohli is the only Indian batsman to score three consecutive hundreds in ODI cricket. On the other hand, Sachin Tendulkar never achieved such a feat in his cricketing career.

The glorious feat came in the 2018 West Indies tour of India, the right-hander registered scores of 140, 157* and 107 during the first 3 ODIs of the 5-match series.

2. Three centuries each in two bilateral series:

Yet another stunning record of Virat Kohli include his magnificent three centuries in a bilateral series on two occasions. Virat Kohli smashed three centuries when Indian National Cricket team travelled South Africa in 2018.

He tallied 112, 160* and 129* in the ODI series against South-Africa to bag a series victory. Later, in the very same year, against Windies, he registered scores of 140, 157* and 107. It was a tremendous year for Virat Kohli, who clean swept major ICC Awards as well.

Coming to Sachin Tendulkar, he never such a feat even once in his glorious career. However, he got quite a few nervous nineties in his kitty.

1. 500 runs in a bilateral ODI series:

Here is another top record, which is also named after only Virat Kohli in Indian cricket. He is the only player from the country to bag as many as 500 runs in a bilateral ODI series.

The glorious feat came against South African when Indian travelled there in 2018. It was the series, which saw Virat Kohli scoring three centuries to his name as well. He registered  112, 160* and 129* in the ODI series to collect quite a few awards.

Meanwhile, Sachin Tendulkar never crossed even 400-run mark during his stellar career. His highest tally in an ODI series was 374 runs against England when India visited their borders in 2007.
