5 Players From India’s U19 World Cup Squad Who Can Play For Senior Team In Future: The U19 World Cup final between India and Bangladesh on Sunday was a riveting thriller as Bangladesh outclassed four-time champions India in all three departments to clinch their maiden World Cup title at any level.

Batting first, India U19 were bowled out for 177 and in reply, Bangladesh U19 captain Akbar Ali remained not out on 43 off 77 balls (4×4, 1×6) and showed nerves of steel at this young age with Rakibul Hossain (9 not out) to script history for Bangladesh with a three-wicket win in the final in Potchefstroom.

Despite losing the game, the Indian National Cricket Team displayed top-notch skills throughout the tournament. Quite a few players stood tall for India under pressure to make things fall in place.

Kartik Tyagi has played an instrumental role in Indian U-19 team’s unbeaten run to the final of the ICC U-19 World Cup 2020 in South Africa. A hostile fast bowler with the right work ethics, Tyagi has been brilliant with the ball for India.

He stole the show with a stellar four-wicket haul in the quarter-final against Australia and has eleven wickets under his belt in the World Cup.

Back in 2017, at the age of 16, Kartik made his first-class debut for Uttar Pradesh in their match against Railways.

But then, he developed a couple of injuries that turned harmful in his career.

However, he made a tremendous comeback to make things fall in place. Following World Cup, he will play for Rajasthan Royals, who bought him for INR 1.3 Crores. With a smooth action and able to bowl perfect lengths, he might soon play for India.

The left-handed fast bowler looked a promising talent for India during the knock out matches. He bowled with a lot of heart and got good bouncer to surprise the batsmen. The flamboyant cricketer has got the calibre to give breakthroughs for his side in middle overs of the game as well.

He delivered goods against Pakistan and continued his good show in the final against Bangladesh as well. But, unfortunately, his side ended up on the wrong side of things. In total, he played five games in the tournament to pick seven wickets.

As the Indian team is looking for a left-arm fast bowler for a while now, Mishra can take the spot if he continues to perform in the domestic circuit.

The left-arm all-rounder has hogged the limelight with his superlative performances in the ICC Under-19 World Cup. He didn’t get the chance to play in the first two matches, however, he got to play against New Zealand where he took three wickets for 28 runs.

Later, in the quarter-final against Australia, With the help of Yashavi Jaiswal‘s 62 runs and Ankolekar’s 55 not-out runs and seven economical overs led his team to reach the semifinals.

Ahead of World Cup, he began the spree with a match-winning five for 28 against Bangladesh, helping India win the U-19 Asia Cup in Sri Lanka, and has taken 15 wickets at an average of 11.80 in the next seven matches, going wicket-less only once.

With a good show in the times to come, Atharva Ankolekar might find a spot in the Indian team.

Ravi Bishnoi had an incredible tournament for India with the ball. He finished the tournament as the leading wicket-taker and bowled with his heart out in the final against Bangladesh to give a tough fight.

Though India lost the game, Bishnoi made everyone talk about him. He got brilliant googly in his basket, which troubled batsmen throughout the tournament.

Not only against Bangladesh but also New Zealand, India were on the back foot with their opponents going at a rapid pace in a rain-curtailed chase, but he ran through the middle order taking four wickets – including two stumpings – to hand India the win.

He is most potent when the batsmen are looking to score off him, and is India’s primary wicket-taking option in the middle overs.

Ravi Bishnoi will next be in the action when he joins Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) camp for Indian Premier League (IPL). He was bought for INR 2 Crores for the upcoming season.

A good performance cam fetch him a spot in the Indian team sooner than the later.

He is a find of the tournament for India. The flamboyant batsman showed his class with the bat to finish the tournament as the leading run-scorer and also received the Man of the Series award.

The southpaw scored 400 runs in six games with 133.33 average including a century against Pakistan in the semifinal.

In six World Cup innings, he has four fifties and a hundred. The only time he didn’t get a half-century was against Japan when India was chasing only 42.

Jaiswal will next be in the action when he joins the camp of Rajasthan Royals for IPL 2020. With Ben Stokes and Steve Smith in the side, the youngster can learn a lot. If he can manage the similar consistency, soon Jaiswal might open with Rohit Sharma for India.
