Team India is all set to square off against England in a three-match T20I series, starting July 3rd. The Men in Blue have played some terrific cricket in the recent past across formats, and they will pose a severe challenge to the English players.
The home team had also played some fantastic cricket in the 50-overs format. However, their form hasn’t been the best when it comes to the shortest format.
India won its recent T20I assignment against Ireland by a 2-1 margin. However, the absence of Jasprit Bumrah might turn out to be a huge factor for the visitors. But despite this fact, India has some exceptional players in their line-up who has the ability to change the complexion of the match within a blink of an eye.
Now let us have a look at five players from India who might make a difference for the team in the upcoming limited-overs series.
Virat Kohli

The India skipper will undoubtedly be at the No 1 position among players to watch out for. He has been in sublime form across formats and has made batting look ridiculously easy.
Kohli has been a stalwart in the ODI format and his 35 centuries and nearly 10,000 runs in 200 odd matches go on to speak volume for a man who has been quite incredible in the recent times.
During the series in South Africa, Kohli smashed three centuries in five matches and became the only player in the world to ammas more than 500 runs in a bilateral ODI series.
Virat hasn’t been at his best when it comes to English conditions. However white ball cricket will be totally different ball game altogether.
Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma is a champion in the ODI format and will be an impact player for the visitors.
Rohit also boasts of an impressive T20I record. He was on the verge of becoming only the 2nd player in the world to smash three T20I centuries.
However, it wasn’t to be, as he was castled by Peter Chase for 97 runs. Rohit is the only Indian to hit more than one T20I century.
Ever since getting elevated as an opener, he had done wonders for the Indian team. The only drawback for him now will be his indifferent form in the IPL. However, he will be satisfied with the fact that he managed to score 97 in the 1st encounter against Ireland. He got dismissed for a second ball duck in the 2nd match.
Hardik Pandya

Pandya has been the go-to man for Virat Kohli irrespective of formats. He has been a confident batsman and has played quite a few astounding knocks in his brief career.
Even with the ball in hand, he has matured quite a bit and has bagged several wickets in the recent times.
Pandya can change the complexion within a single over. He was the highest wicket-taker for the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League.
During the series against Ireland, he played a stunning knock of 27 off just nine deliveries which included four sixes.
Kuldeep Yadav

The left-arm chinaman bowler has been a revelation for Team India and has been brilliant with his guile and variations. Kuldeep is the only chinaman bowler who had played for India.
His variations have been quite brilliant, and they have bamboozled many star batsmen in the past. He returned with 17 wickets in the ODI series against South Africa and was quite efficient for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL.
He had deceived great batters during the IPL, and his spell during the Rajasthan Royals in a must-win game was quite spectacular. Kuldeep will be a force for India in the limited-overs without a doubt along with Yuzvendra Chahal.
Yuzvendra Chahal

The right-arm leg-spinner has been a sensational performer in the limited-overs format for the Men in Blue.
Chahal went on to bag 16 wickets in the ODI series and South Africa. However, he wasn’t at his best during the recently concluded IPL, and his consistency wasn’t quite there.
But he was brilliant in the T20I series against Ireland. The pitches assisted him a bit.
If the English pitches also give him some help Chahal might well be the most important player for India. The leg-spinner is a bowler known to toss up the deliveries.
Chahal is never afraid of going for sixes. It is his wicket-taking abilities which had made him an integral part of the Indian team in the shorter formats.
