Messing around with Aakash Chopra on Twitter is just not a good idea and a Pakistani individual must have realised that on Wednesday. The former India cricketer is one of the most active cricketers on Twitter and is also very popular among the fans. But then again his comments are not being praised each and every time and one such comment seemed to have angered the Pakistani fans.

Chopra could not stop himself from taking a dig at Pakistan and their skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed in the wake of their loss to Australia. Before the game, Sarfaraz had said all the teams fear Pakistan. However, his comments and Pakistan’s performance were contrasting in nature as Australia beat them by 41 runs in Taunton.

Asked to bat first, Australia scored 307. The defending champions should have scored more but an inexplicable collapse towards the end cost them a huge score. From 223 for 2, the Aussies were all out for 307. But the score turned out to be more than enough in the end as bowlers powered Australia to a win.

Pakistan had started their chase on a good note and were comfortably placed at 136 for 2. However, a middle-order collapse saw them losing 4 wickets for 24 runs. Hassan Ali hammered 32 from 15 balls and Wahab Riaz 45 from 39 balls to revive the chase but Mitchell Starc dismissed the latter and Mohammad Amir inside an over to all but kill the chase. Glenn Maxwell then superbly ran out Sarfaraz Khan to power Australia to the win.

After the game ended, Aakash Chopra took to Twitter to mock Pakistan, writing:

“Every team is scared of Pakistan—Sarfraz. I’m sure Pakistan is equally scared of the Pakistan that turned up today to play against Australia ??”

However, his comment did not go down well with one Pakistani fan as he slammed Chopra for the same. Reminding Chopra of Pakistan’s win over India in the final of the 2017 Champions Trophy, the fan wrote:

But Chopra was not ready to let the fan get away with his comment as he shot back at him, replying:

“Aur agar World Cup wali?? You are free to choose the edition of your liking ☺️? love from India.”
