Aakash Chopra Rates Mumbai Indians As Team With Best Finishers

Aakash Chopra is back with his analysis again. This time he ranked the IPL franchise with the best finishers and mentioned his reason behind it. With the IPL 2020 around the corner, there are a lot of discussions regarding the team combinations of the franchises and Aakash Chopra, in particularly, spoke about the finishers of the side.

Chopra believes that defending champions Mumbai Indians as the team with best finishers for IPL 2020. His conclusion came after West Indies’ swashbuckling batsman Kieron Pollard played a prolific knock of 72 runs off 28 balls in the CPL 2020 and continues to perform consistently. He also rated KKR, with Andre Russell, as the second best team due to the finishers.

“At the top spot, I will keep the Mumbai Indians. They have Kieron Pollard, who is the lord of T20 cricket, what sort of batting he is doing in CPL! He scored 72 runs in 28 balls and is scoring consistently. He plays spin well and will do well in the UAE, there is no doubt about that,” Aakash Chopra said in his Facebook video.

“At No.2, I have got KKR. They have Andre Russell, who gives them the muscle. Although he is good enough alone, they also have Eoin Morgan, who is in great form and Dinesh Karthik.”

IPL 2020 will be played entirely in UAE due to the pandemic situation forcing the cricket board to host the tournament away from India. Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah will be the three venues used for the tournament. Dream 11 have been named as the sponsor for the upcoming season of the tournament after VIVO pulled out.

All the franchise have arrived in UAE with some of the foreign players still to join the squad. Players from England and Australia will join their respective franchises once their ongoing three-match T20I series concludes.
