Team India spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have been one of the significant reasons behind India’s consistent success in red-ball cricket. They have posed all sorts of difficulties to batters all over the globe who are still finding answers to tackle them. Meanwhile, Australia’s limited-overs skipper Aaron Finch has revealed who is the toughest to face among the two.
While Ashwin made an immediate impact on his return to the Test after nine months during the series against South Africa. He was among the top wicket-takers as India inflicted a whitewash over the Proteas to extend their lead at the top of the ICC World Test Championship. He also enjoyed a good run in the first Test against Bangladesh despite having a mild spell in the pink-ball Test amidst the dominance from the pace bowlers.
On the other hand, Ravindra Jadeja has spread his dominance across the formats. He has been in terrific form since the ICC World Cup 2019 and has been a regular member in the playing XI in all three formats. Besides, he has improved his batting which has made Indian team look even stronger and have provided them with the edge of fielding a less batsman in red-ball cricket.
Meanwhile, recently, Aaron Finch hosted a question-answer session on his social media account Twitter. Celebrities, including cricketers, use various social media platforms to stay in touch with their fans and followers. During the session, one fan asked Finch to pick the difficult bowler among Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. But the Aussie skipper was smart to answer that both are difficult in different ways to stay away from any controversies.
“Both have difficult challenges. Ashwin can spin it big with a lot of variation. Jadeja always challenges the stumps and your defence,” Aaron Finch answered.
