Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are currently fifth in the IPL 2020 points table at the back of three wins from five matches. RCB have looked better as an unit by far as they have remained in contention to qualify in the IPL 2020 playoffs in the early stage of the tournament. AB de Villiers, however, feels that the best is yet to come for them.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will next host Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL 2020 clash at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Saturday. CSK have had a poor run in the IPL 2020 thus far, winning two out of six matches. They have backed their veteran players with Shane Watson looking in good touch in the last few matches and will continue to give the side good start along with Faf du Plessis.
RCB need to get the momentum going: AB de Villiers
De Villiers said that RCB have got to a decent start in the IPL 2020 despite a couple of disappointing performances. He also mentioned that RCB is not far off from their best performance in the IPL 2020 and needs to keep the momentum going. De Villiers also mentioned that he is looking to come out good in the next game.
“We got a decent start, a couple of disappointing performances but all in all we are not far off from our best and I think we know what is required to get the momentum going. I have been feeling alright in the last five matches
I did not have a good game in the last match of ours, I will be focusing on getting the swing of things,” De Villiers said in a video posted on the official handle of RCB.
RCB has the record of reaching three finals. RCB entered the final match last time in 2016 but since then they have been at the bottom of the table. Moreover, in 2019, the franchise finished last with just 5 wins from 14 matches.
