The talented Babar Azam has been growing from strength to strength in the international cricket by knocking the winning runs for his side. Meanwhile, he also broke the record of Virat Kohli’s highest rating points in the T20I format of the game in order to become the number one T20I batsman in the world.

Azam also became the fastest batsman to get to 1000 T20I runs in 26 innings beating Virat Kohli by one inning. Though the section of people is fighting in a debate of best batsman between Virat Kohli and Babar Azam, the Pakistani batsman draws the curtains on it. He called Virat Kohli as his second idol after AB de Villiers.

What isn’t good about Virat Kohli? asks Babar Azam

Speaking in an interview, Babar Azam quoted he idolizes Virat Kohli after AB de Villiers. He termed Virat Kohli as a perfect batsman, who has got all the answers to take on the world-class bowlers.

Further, he went on to add saying Virat Kohli has been a genius and a perfect role model for everyone. He also showered heaps of praise on the Indian skipper for his incredible consistency on the field.

”My role model is AB de Villiers and after him, Virat Kohli, who I even follow now. What isn’t good about Virat Kohli? Everything is good about him. What I like him the most is his confidence when he arrives at the crease,” Babar Azam quoted.

If he scored a hundred in the previous game, he still comes to the next game as though he hasn’t done anything and aims. His confidence, balance, the way he treats bowlers. What he does, I want to try to do the same,” he added.

However, it is nice to hear Babar Azam is considering Virat Kohli as his idol. Though both nations being the arch-rivals in the game of cricket, things like these will help to build the mutual respect between the players
