Ajinkya Rahane and Ankit Bawne will lead the two India A one-day squads set to take on England Lions in a five-match series in Thiruvananthapuram, set to begin on January 23. While Rahane will lead the side in the first three fixtures, Bawne will at the helm of the things in the last two games.
However, following the one-dayers, Board President’s XI will also play two four-dayers against the touring side. Wayanad will host the first four-day game starting from February 7 while Mysore will host the second game commencing on February 13. However, before the first-class fixtures, England Lions will also play a two-day warm-up match against BP XI, from February 3.
Ishan Kishan will lead the Board President XI in both the two-day and four-day games. The 13-member squad for the warm-up clash includes only one international player – Jayant Yadav. Meanwhile, the selectors have not added any players who are a part of the Ranji Trophy semifinals.
