The second and final game of the rubber will be played under lights with the pink ball. Indian players have already started training with the pink ball whenever there was a time for practice sessions.

It is quite surprising to see the players speaking more about the second Test when the First Test match is yet to be played. However, you can’t blame them, as the second game is something special for the Indian Cricket. It will be the first-ever Day/Night Test game and the vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane is pretty excited about it.
Ajinkya Rahane said that adapting to the new conditions would not be a problem for the Indian side. He also said that the match would be very exciting for the fans as well. The proud father is hopeful of good show at Eden Gardens when the Indian team takes on Bangladesh side.
The problem with the Pink ball is that many of the players who were involved in those matches were not too happy with the condition of the ball and said that the bowlers, especially the spinners, did not have anything to work with.

The pink ball is going to be a very “different ball game”, India vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane asserted on Tuesday, saying its extra lateral movement compared to the red cherry will force batsmen to play late and closer to their bodies. He believes the SG ball would be different from Kookaburra balls.
“The lateral movement is big, actually a lot than the red ball,” India vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane said at Indore. “Adjustment-wise, I’m sure everyone will adapt very quickly. We are used to playing different formats – after T20s we play Tests. It’s just the mindset, technical skills will play a role. Mentally if you can adjust to the pink ball, then it’ll be good.”
“We played against spinners in Bangalore, and they were getting good revs on the ball. Yes, the shine is completely different to the red ball, but it’s very hard to compare with SG ball and the Kookaburra ball. “I’ve never played with the pink ball. And what I’ve heard from other people is that the Kookaburra ball is actually really easy for the batsmen. But what we saw in Bangalore and played in Bangalore is that the SG ball was doing a bit for the fast bowlers. For spinners, it is difficult but it is very hard for me to say right now about Kookaburra and SG ball.”
