Ajit Agarkar, former Indian seamer, has picked Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders as his top-3 picks to qualify for the playoffs in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League [IPL].

Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals have looked the best two sides in the IPL thus far. While both sides have won five of their seven fixtures, the defending champions are currently at the numero-uno spot in the points table, Delhi Capitals are at the second spot.

Kolkata Knight Riders, meanwhile, are at the fourth spot despite having suffered an 82-run mauling at the hands of RCB in their last fixture.

“It’s such a close tournament, so many ups and downs, but clearly Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals look like the two best teams — form-wise and personnel-wise. KKR, in my opinion, got a real bonus win against CSK. They are my third team,” Ajit Agarkar said on Star Sports show ‘Cricket Connected’

According to the former pacer, he had CSK as one of his prime contenders at the start of the 13th season of the IPL but given the manner in which the season has panned out for the MS Dhoni-led outfit [2 wins in 7 games], Agarkar feels that the likes of Rajasthan Royals and SunRisers Hyderabad are looking primed for the 4th spot in the IPL 2020 points table.

“The fourth team for me is between Rajasthan Royals and SunRisers Hyderabad. I had CSK at the start of the tournament, but at the moment, these two teams look slightly better than what CSK is playing,” he added.

Meanwhile, former England spinner, Graeme Swann feels that SunRisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals will make it to the top-4.

“I’m definitely going with Sunrisers Hyderabad cause Jonny Bairstow not only looks dapper with his ginger hair and the orange shirt, amazing, it shouldn’t go, but it does, but he’s also smashing it,” Graeme Swann said.

“And my fourth team is going more with my heart than my head, Rajasthan Royals, Tewatia hit 5 sixes off that over and I fell for the Rajasthan Royals. They’ve lost all three games, they cannot get any worse. Ben Stokes is coming back. They are going to qualify,” he added.

Both SunRisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals have won three of their seven fixtures and are currently at 5th and 6th spot in the IPL 2020 points table respectively.
