Chopra, who made his debut under Sourav Ganguly hailed the former Indian captain for his impeccable talent spotting and nurturing ability while at the time asserting that MS Dhoni had exceptional man-management skills.

“I would pick Sourav Ganguly’s era. He had to regain the trust of the people after the match-fixing scandal and make a team from scratch. His eye for talent stood out as he brought in young talents and also went forward with the support of other senior players. We started winning overseas [such as, drawing in England and Australia and winning in Pakistan]. Dhoni reaped rewards of all this but he excelled for his exceptional man-manager skills as he had to handle big stars and young players. He did that really well,” Chopra said.
