Australia’s limited-overs wicketkeeper-batsman, Alex Carey has lauded former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni, for his stint in international cricket. Alex Carey has said that he will be delighted if he could become half as good as MS Dhoni and finish games like him with calmness.
MS Dhoni has been a legend on the field so far. A great batsman, a handy wicketkeeper and a legendary captain, all these elements go along with MS Dhoni whenever he is mentioned. What adds to his repertoire is his calmness and his composure in the clutches of situations that have helped India come out of difficult times more often than not in the last 10-12 years.

Now Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Alex Carey has acknowledged Dhoni’s greatness and has expressed his desire of having a reputation half as good as the legendary Indian captain.
Alex Carey Heaps Praise On MS Dhoni
In an Instagram chat with the Delhi Capitals, Carey heaped praise on Dhoni and expressed his wish of becoming like the 38-year-old veteran.

“If you ask any cricketer, they would love to play like MS Dhoni. He’s probably the best at that role. I’d love to become half as good as him. I’d love to have the calm to take it deep and finish off T20, ODI games for Australia and even in the BBL. It was pretty hard to play against him since he would never get out, but yes I’d love to become half as good as him,” Carey said.
Speculations Rife Over MS Dhoni’s Future With Team India
Dhoni was last seen in the Indian colours in the semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Unfortunately, India lost the game to New Zealand and were eliminated from the competition. Since then, Dhoni has been away from the Indian team.

His return was much anticipated with the return of IPL 2020 this year as he was back to the field sweating it hard for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). However, the BCCI had to postpone the tournament indefinitely due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. And, this has again given way to speculations on Dhoni’s future with Team India.
