Alex Hales Has Shown Signs Of Coronavirus, Claims Ramiz Raja

In a major development England opening batsman Alex Hales has shown signs of Coronavirus, if commentator Ramiz Raja is to be believed, according to a report in gnnhd.tv.

According to the report, Ramiz Raja said, Alex Hales is undergoing diagnostic tests in England to confirm the situation. Along with Hales, all broadcasters and commentators are also undergoing Coronavirus tests.

Nine players including Alex Hales were supposed to withdraw from PSL

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) was called off on Tuesday but before that nine foreign players including Alex Hales were supposed to withdraw from the tournament.

According to reports, the players included, English trio of Jason Roy, Alex Hales and James Vince. They had schedule their withdraw owing to the novel coronavirus outbreak.

England players Tymal Mills, Liam Dawson, Liam Livingstone, Lewis Gregory, West Indian Carlos Braithwaite, South African Rilee Roussouw and James Foster (Coach) were the others who were supposed to withdraw from the tournament.

Dawson, Braithwaite, Roussouw, Vince and Gregory represented the squads of Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultan.

According to news agency PTI, in a statement, the PCB said, “it had given the option to all foreign players and support staff to withdraw from the tournament if they wanted to and franchises can replace them with local players and officials”.

Alex Hales averaged 59.75 in PSL

Hales, who plied his trade for Karachi Kings, played 7 games and made 239 runs with two half-centuries with the highest score of an unbeaten 80 at an average of 59.75 and a strike rate of 156.20.

He was one of the big reasons Karachi made it into the semi-finals with ease.

Hales is not the first person suspected with coronavirus. Australia fast bowler Kane Richardson and New Zealand quick Lockie Ferguson were also tested for the disease. But fortunately, the reports were negative.
