Ambati Rayudu has had his fair share of run-ins with his state associations and teammates during his career. The prodigiously talented cricketer, who was tipped to be the next big thing in Indian cricket back in 2003-04, has had an underwhelming International career, the nadir of which came last year when he was overlooked for the 2019 World Cup in favor of Vijay Shankar.

Rayudu does not hold back his emotions one bit and we saw that last year when he took a jibe at the selectors on Twitter and his subsequent retirement in the midst of the World Cup.

Dwyane Bravo, who has played a lot with Ambati Rayudu in the Indian Premier League has hailed the talented batsman as his favorite Indian cricketer.

“Ambati Rayudu is one of my favourite players. I played with him at Mumbai Indians. We didn’t play much together there. I know he is a player that, to me, is very very unfair to his talent. He is one of India’s batsmen,” Dwayne Bravo was quoted as saying by India Today.

Bravo said that since Ambati Rayudu is hot-tempered, he always likes to rile him up at CSK.

“He is also a very hot-tempered guy. I like to say ‘you’re not good, you’re rubbish. I don’t know why CSK bought you’. These things get to his head,” he added.

Bravo added that since Rayudu is short-tempered, these things get to him and he uses that as a motivation to prove the West Indian wrong via his performance on the field.

“He is also very determined to prove me wrong all the time. He would. If you look at his first season with CSK, we sit next to each other. Everytime I sit next to him, I say negative things,” Bravo revealed.

The West Indian all-rounder also hailed Ambati Rayudu as a very passionate guy and a true team man.

“He will always go out there to prove me wrong. I always feel happy for his success. He is a special person. You have to really know him to love him. If you don’t know him, then you may get wrong ideas. He is a true team man. Very passionate about his cricket.” Bravo said.

Ambati Rayudu was picked up by the Chennai Super Kings ahead of the 2018 season and his 602 runs- 3 fifties and one hundred- were instrumental in CSK winning their third IPL title.
