IPL 2018: Rajasthan Royals announce Amol Mazumdar, Sairaj Bahutule as coaches

With the think tank of Rajasthan Royals already retaining the services of their mentor Shane Warne. The Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise further announced Amol Mazumdar and Sairaj Bahutule in the management. Mazumdar and Bahutule would be looking at the batting and bowling front respectively for the Royals.

Talking about the coaching role, Mazumdar is considered as a veteran in the domestic set-up

Meanwhile, Bahutule also handles the coaching department of the Bengal team as a head coach.

The latest development from the Jaipur-based franchise could not be confirmed from the administration.

However, it is learnt from sources close to the matter that the two new appointments already took charge in the last week.

Both Bahutule and Mazumdar will work with Rajasthan Royals’ Team Director Zubin Bharucha.

Shane Warne to join the franchise next month:

Warne, who was part of their successful campaign in the inaugural edition of the IPL in 2008. He is scheduled to miss out on the first half-of-the-camp. He will be present during the March-leg of the camp.

Interestingly, the two new appointments from Rajasthan Royals have represented Mumbai together. They have nursed the wards a substantial period of time.

The two Mumbaikars including Amol Mazumdar attended the two-day camp along with Indian international Ajinkya Rahane at the Brabourne Stadium.

Rahane came back from a gruelling tour of South Africa where he was part of the Test and ODI squad.

Rahane was seen having a conversation with Royals’ executive chairman, Ranjit Barthakur.

The likes of Aryaman Birla, Mahipal Lomror, S Midhun, Jatin Saxena and three others were part of the camp.
