The apex court of India Supreme Court has observed that Amarpali homebuyers’ has diverted money illegally to MS Dhoni‘s promoted Rhiti Sports Management Pvt Ltd. The observation is made by justice Arun Mishra and U.U Lalit on Tuesday. The judges have concealed the real estate company Amrapali Group’s Real Estate Regulatory Authority’s licence and appointed state-run National Buildings Construction Corp Ltd (NBCC) to complete all pending projects.
In fact, it is noted that the Amarpali Group of companies made a payment of INR 42.22 crores to Rhiti Sports Management Pvt Ltd between 2009 and 2015. Out of this huge amount, INR 6.52 was paid by Amrapali Sapphire Developers Pvt Ltd.
This is interesting.
“It is observed that this agreement is on plain paper and executed only between Amrapali and Rhiti Sports Management Pvt Ltd and there are no signatories on behalf of Chennai Super Kings to this agreement,” the court said.
Meanwhile, the sum was paid on account of agreements executed by Anil Kumar Sharma, who is the CMD of Amarpali group of companies. However, the court stated that there was no resolution on record.
“We feel that home buyers money has been diverted illegally and wrongly to Rhiti Sports Management Pvt Ltd and should be recovered from them as the said agreement in our opinion does not stand the test of law”.
MS Dhoni was the brand ambassador of Amarpali Group until the last three years ago. Sakshi Dhoni was then the director of Amarpali Mahi Developers Pvt Ltd. In fact, an MoU was also signed between the two parties but the court was not informed about it.
On the other hand, MS Dhoni has taken a two-month break from International cricket to serve the paramilitary forces. Dhoni has made himself unavailable for selection for the tour of the West Indies.
