Delhi Capitals’ seamer Anrich Nortje bowled brilliantly against the Kolkata Knight Riders, having claimed three wickets in their 18-run victory in Sharjah. Anrich Nortje was the best bowler across two teams, finishing with a spell of 4-0-33-3, claiming the wickets of Pat Cummins, Sunil Narine, and Eoin Morgan. After conquering the Knight Riders, the 26-year old has set his sights on the Royal Challengers Bangalore, who they will face on Monday in Dubai.

Delhi Capitals, who beat Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday, ended Royal Challengers Bangalore’s brief stay at the top. RCB beat Rajasthan Royals comprehensively by eight wickets the same day in Abu Dhabi. Their skipper Virat Kohli returned to form, scoring a confident fifty while chasing 155 while Devdutt Padikkal mustered a half-century of his own. Hence, it should be a highly entertaining contest between Delhi Capitals’ bowlers and RCB’s batsmen.

Anrich Nortje underlined that playing against RCB would be a tremendous challenge, who have got some massive names. At the same time, Nortje believes that Delhi could match up to them and provided they execute their skills to great effect, the Capitals could topple the Royal Challengers.

It’s going to be a good challenge. They have got a pretty good line-up, and have some big names. But, I think we have got a good team as well and the guys have been training really well. If we just execute our skills, perform the way we have been, I think it’s going to be a very good game, and I’m sure we can outskill them,” Nortje stated as quoted by Hindustan Times.

Anrich Nortje felt glad that the Delhi Capitals could close out the game against Kolkata Knight Riders. The right-arm seamer acknowledged that the two-time champions did have their number for a brief period; however, he admitted that their plans were executed well for the most part.

I’m just happy we could win and get the team over the line. I think the boys really bowled well. Maybe in one or two overs they got all of us, but I think in general the plans were good and everyone executed them well, so well done to the boys,” he added.
