Kolkata Knight Riders lost three early wickets in their ongoing match against Delhi Capitals in Abu Dhabi as the returning Anrich Nortje claimed two out of them. Anrich Nortje, who is in impressive form in IPL 2020, was rested for the game against Kings XI Punjab as the management decided to opt for left-arm seamer Daniel Sams. Nevertheless, the 26-year old showed his importance by taking the first two wickets, especially of Rahul Tripathi.

Rahul Tripathi, who batted at number three against Delhi Capitals, mistimed two shots off Kagiso Rabada but kept the scoreboard ticking. He collected his first boundary in the sixth over and Anrich Nortje’s second. Nortje delivered a yorker as a comeback, the speed of which was 148.3 ks and Rahul Tripathi was unable to counter it as the ball uprooted the off-stump.

Delhi Capitals, who won the toss, made a couple changes by swapping Anrich Nortje for Daniel Sams and Ajinkya Rahane for Prithvi Shaw. On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders made two changes by drafting Sunil Narine for Tom Banton and Kamlesh Nagarkoti for Kuldeep Yadav. Both the sides suffered losses in their previous fixtures; however, Delhi Capitals need only two victories to confirm their playoff spot while Kolkata Knight Riders might have to win all their games.
