Anushka Sharma Congratulates Rohit Sharma For His Record Double Century

The cricket fraternity was still busy celebrating the marriage of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma but Rohit Sharma stole the limelight with his splendid innings of 208* against Sri Lanka.

This was his third double century in ODI cricket, which has now taken him par any other batsman. Already, he was the only batsman to score two double centuries and now, he has upped his level with another double ton.

On the occasion, Rohit received well wishes from all around the world but a special wish also came from Anushka Sharma, whom Rohit had sent his wishes after the news of her marriage with Indian skipper, Virat Kohli, came out. In reply to Rohit’s congratulatory message, Anushka thanked him and lauded Rohit for his double century. Here is what she wrote –

Rohit’s double ton has come as a double bonanza for the fans as firstly, the fans were waiting for the marriage of Virat and Anushka. Right from the day Virat was rested for the ODI series, there were speculations that the pair might tie the knot soon.

With images of the bride and her family coming out, it was almost confirmed that they will soon get hitched and it was merely a matter of a couple of days when, on the day of marriage, these two themselves confirmed the news.

They did not disappoint their fans as many clips and photos came out which was a treat for all the fans.

A double ton from Rohit Sharma soon followed which gave another special feeling. Incidentally, the innings came on the day when Rohit was celebrating his second marriage anniversary and he also dedicated his innings to his wife, who was witnessing the game live from the VIP box.
