Team India skipper Virat Kohli has been on a record-breaking spree and has emerged as one of the most consistent performers across all 3 formats of the game. In the recently concluded ODI series against the Proteas, Kohli ended up scoring 558 runs in 6 matches. It is the most number of runs scored by a batsman in a bilateral ODI series. In the process, he smashed 3 centuries and a fifty as India registered their maiden series victory in the Rainbow Nation.

Following India???s sensational 28 runs victory in the opening T20I in Johannesburg, Kohli revealed in the post-match press conference that he didn???t get enough time to prepare himself for the South African tour. He laughed and said that he was doing a very important thing in his life and that was marriage. For 3 weeks he skipped practice but revealed the fact that all he wanted was to be in South Africa.

The power couple has been one of the sought-after couples in the recent past. They recently tied the knot on 11^th December in a private ceremony at Tuscany in Italy. The couple was looking gorgeous in their wedding avatar. The couple was in all smiles and following their marriage, Virat also dedicated a song to Anushka in the post-wedding geet ceremony.

Anushka and Virat went to Switzerland for a short honeymoon. Following his marriage, Kohli has been in exceptional form and has already smashed 4 centuries in 10 matches across formats. He is also on the verge of becoming only the 2^nd player after Viv Richards to score more than 1,000 runs in a single tour.
