Kabul Zwanan won the sixth match of the Afghanistan Premier League (APL) convincingly beating Nangarhar Leopards by seven wickets at the Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium, Sharjah.

However, after winning the toss, Kabul Zwanan skipper, Rashid Khan elected to bowl first. Nangarhar Leopards opening duo started their innings well and stood a 109-run partnership for the first wicket. Later, Shahidullah Kamal managed to break the opening stand after on the second ball of the twelfth over. Post that, the batsmen could only lead to add 79 runs in their last 52 deliveries.

Meanwhile, Nangarhar Leopards batsman, Anton Devcich played an excellent inning of unbeaten 94 runs off 58 balls which included seven boundaries and six massive sixes. Kabul Zwanan bowler, Rashid Khan bowled his full quota and given only 13 runs picking up the wickets of danger man Andre Russell.

The bowlers did some splendid job in the last eight overs to restrict Nangarhar Leopards to post a score of 188 runs with the loss of five wickets at the end of twenty overs.

While chasing down the target, Kabul Zwanan opening duo Hazratullah Zazai and Luke Ronchi put some excellent show to add 144 runs for their first wicket. Hazratullah troubled all bowling attack, as he was looking furious to hit the ball in all directions. He went on batting till the fifteenth over with Javed Ahmadi and had scored more than half of the runs for their team.

Kabul Zwanan sits on top of the points table

Nangarhar Leopards skipper, Ben Cutting manage to rattle Hazratullah Zazai in the 15th over, but he had already done the damage for the opposition. He scored 124 runs with the help of twelve boundaries and nine sixes off just 55 balls. The other batsmen did get some good rest to prepare themselves for the next match.

However, Kabul Zwanan finished their innings with 13 balls to spare and are sitting at the second place in the table. Hazratullah Zazai was given the Man of the Match for his fantastic knock.
