Arjun Tendulkar has been named in the Mumbai U-19 squad for the first two games of the Vinoo Mankad Trophy against Baroda and Saurashtra. Arjun was recently part of the Mumbai U-19 side for the JY Lele tournament. He played two matches before getting dropped from the team for the third match.

Junior Tendulkar, a regular bowler at Lord’s nets, is an all-rounder but is mainly a left-arm medium fast bowler. He was one of the bowlers bowling to the Indian women’s team ahead of the final clash against England in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017.

Before that as well, Arjun was seen bowling in the England net session, where one of the deliveries from him hit Jonny Bairstow on his leg which left the wicketkeeper-batsman in some trouble. He was quick to leave the nets soon after.

Arjun would be looking to make most out of the experience he gained while bowling at the iconic Lord’s nets to international teams.

Meanwhile, Mumbai selectors also announced their squad for their first contest of CK Nayudu Trophy. Mumbai Ranji opener Jay Bista has been handed over the captaincy, which makes him unavailable for Mumbai’s first Ranji game. Arman Jaffer has also been given a place in the team, which also rules him out of the first match of India’s premier domestic tournament.
