When you speak about cricket you have to take the name of Sachin Tendulkar. He has been more than just a player. And has been an emotion to each and every Indian.

The day when he retired, his retirement speech made whole India and possibly the whole world cry with him. He left a lasting impact on so many youngsters that many of the current superstars started playing cricket only because of Tendulkar.

It’s not correct to introduce a budding cricketer as someone’s son. However, if you are the son of someone as big as Sachin you have to accept the matter.

Sachin’s son Arjun Tendulkar is making steady strides in the age group level cricket and was recently selected in the Indian Under-19 team which will tour Sri Lanka next month.

Arjun Tendulkar Trains With the Indian Cricket Team, Gets Vital Tips From Ravi Shastri

It was Team India head coach Ravi Shastri, who shared a picture with Arjun and tagged it to Sachin on his Instagram handle.

”Good to see the chip of the old block going through the right paces – @sachintendulkar,” he wrote.

If you didn’t understand by what Ravi meant in that phrase, he referred Tendulkar as the old block and Arjun as a chip of the block and he was pleased to see him going in the right direction.

Arjun practices with the Indian team:

Arjun was practicing with the senior team which has often been the case in the last year or so. It was reported that he had injured Jonny Bairstow with a stunning yorker in the nets at the Wankhede Stadium last year.

Arjun regularly clicks 135 kph as per quotes from his coach. It will be very interesting to see how his India U-19 series pans out in the foreseeable. He will be spearheading the attack for the four-day matches.

However, at the same time, he hasn’t made the cut for the limited-overs format.

Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also shared the picture of Ravi talking with Arjun.

“Words of wisdom from @RaviShastriOfc for young Arjun Tendulkar,” BCCI wrote.

Meanwhile, Team India has landed in London. They will now fly to Ireland for a two-match T20I series. It will be followed by a full-length tour of England.
