The Indian board has added six more names to the list of players who will be up for grabs during the auction which takes place later today. The names of the six players are as follows: R Vinay Kumar, Ashoke Dinda, Mathew Wade, Sanjay Yadav, Robin Bist and Jake Weatherald.
R Vinay Kumar, a domestic cricket veteran, was a part of Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2018 but was released by the franchise. He went unsold in IPL 2019 auction. Vinay Kumar now plays for Puducherry as a professional. The right-arm pacer has 105 wickets in as many matches in the T20 league.
Dinda, who last played for Rising Pune Supergiant in IPL 2017, went unsold in previous two auctions. He took up commentary during the league. Dinda has been part of RPS, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Daredevils and Pune Warriors.
Wade, who has reinvented himself since leaving the wicketkeeping duties, has excelled in domestic cricket across formats and might just get a bid for himself. The left-handed batsman earned a recall for Ashes 2019 and score two centuries. He was also called up to in the World Cup 2019 squad as a replacement for Usman Khawaja.
Sanjay Yadav is a left-arm spinner who plays for Meghalaya. He made his T20 debut for Tamil Nadu in 2017 and has been part of Kolkata Knight Riders.
Robin BIst, the veteran domestic player, is uncapped in IPL. He came close to India selection few years back. Bist has been part of Delhi Daredevils.
A lesser-known Weatherland plays for South Australia in domestic cricket and has played for Adelaide Strikers in Big Bash League.
Out of the late additions, Wade is highly likely to get a bid. The IPL 2020 auction starts at 3:30 PM. A total of 338 players are up for grabs for 73 slots.
