India’s southpaw batsman Gautam Gambhir shut down Pakistan media in style. The opening batsman reminded Pakistan journalist that India has had its wood on Pakistan in the recent past. India has won seven matches whereas Pakistan has won only four in the last 11 outings. Gambhir said there is a lot of difference between the two sides. India was on a long tour of England whereas Pakistan recently played against Zimbabwe in which they won by 5-0.

Meanwhile, the high-pressure game between India and Pakistan is just a couple of hours away. There is not an iota of doubt that it is the most anticipated match of the year between the two arch-rivals.

On the other hand, Gautam Gambhir lashed out at Pakistan journalist when the journalist tried to compare the recent results of India and Pakistan.

Gambhir said while talking on ABP news in a battle with ARY news (Pakistan News channel), “There is a lot of difference between losing to England in English conditions whereas winning against Zimbabwe in Zimbabwe. In fact, our India A team can also beat Zimbabwe. You should take a look at the rankings to get a better picture of the things. Pakistan is happy to play against teams like Zimbabwe and Bangladesh and win against them. However, it doesn’t make any difference. Before the Champions Trophy, Pakistan hasn’t won much against India.”

Meanwhile, it is well known that Gautam Gambhir hits the nail on the head. He makes no bones about his comments and says what he wants to convey. Gambhir is known to take the bull by its horns and doesn’t shy away from having an argument. In fact, Gambhir also played his cricket in a hard way as there were no half measures with him.

India and Pakistan clash is always a heated battle and such instances between a player and the media are a norm. However, what matters the most is the contest which is on the field. The one who wins it is the real winner.
